Home Battery backup

Enphase battery backup for
Nature Coast storm season

Pair solar with an Enphase battery and your home stays powered when the grid drops. Your well pump keeps flowing, the fridge stays cold, and there's no generator, no gas, and no noise. Just quiet, automatic backup.

Four Enphase IQ Battery 5P units installed on the exterior wall of a Nature Coast home by May Electric Solar

Choose your system

IQ Battery 10C or 5P — up to 40 kWh

Both options run on Enphase's safe AC design, so there are no high-voltage DC circuits to worry about. Size it to your household with as much as 40 kWh of usable storage.

Your panels recharge the battery faster than you use it, assuming proper usage as instructed by May Electric Solar and normal weather conditions.

Estimate only, based on 5.5 peak sun hours for the Central Florida area and typical appliance draw. Central A/C is estimated at 800W per ton assuming 15 SEER or better, and the microwave and well pump by typical daily run time (about 15 minutes and 2 hours a day) rather than continuous use. Load shedding assumes Central A/C shuts off at 30% battery to reserve the remaining charge for critical loads. A water heater, when added, runs only on daytime solar surplus (battery 95%+), about 1.5 to 2 hours a day, so it does not reduce backup runtime. Load shedding and proper use of your battery system as we design it will help achieve these estimates or longer. We'll size your solar and battery system based on your home's usage.
